Blackout Linings Guide
Having trouble sleeping? Thenwhy don’t you use our blackout curtain lining with your pencil pleat curtains. They’re 100 pc light proof, and simply attach to the back of your present drapes, and will keep the light out in those long summer days, and allow you to sleep peacefully. Wonderful value, and ideal for childrens bedrooms and nurseries in the summertime months as children sleep during the daytime.
Black out curtains and linings are our most popular sellers irrespective of what season or time of the year. Thermal blackout linings are proven to prevent heat loss during cold winter days and also aid in keeping the heat out during summer. Effectively reducing your fuel bills. Infact the blackout fabric is known to reduce noise like early morning traffic.
If you already have existing drapes, why don’t you use our blackout linings with your pencil pleat curtains. Simply hook the linings at the rear of your pencil pleat curtains. Linings generally have an one inch curtain tape at the back to use for hanging them on to the curtains. As discussed you can only use these linings on pencil pleat curtains, but if you want to use them with your ring top or tab top curtains then simply stitch the lining at the back and drape your curtains properly. This system should be superb to block the light.
Just as significantly though we’d always advocate these linings with all ready made curtains simply because they significantly enhance the look of your curtains ; colours are richer and more pragmatic, your curtains drape more fantastically and the blackout lining protects the fabric from extreme damage from daylight. Standard linings in ready made curtains are very thin and simply let light thru usually.
Blackout linings are available in packs of two panels and available in 10 different sizes. 46 x 48, 46 x 54, 46 x 72, 46 x 90, 66 x 54, 66 x 72, 66 x 90, 90 x 54, 90 x 72, 90 x 90. Usually the curtain panel is about 2 inches shorter in drop then stated so they can not be seen from the front when hooked behind the curtains.
