Greenhouse gardening is a hobby enjoyed by many green-fingered enthusiasts. You can grow your favourite plants all year round even out of season. Of course, you need enough flat land on which your greenhouse can stand, depending on the size of structure you choose. Placement is critical for greenhouse gardening so determine the angle of the sun during winter months. Trees can grow quickly and there should be no shadows covering the greenhouse so take this into consideration when positioning the structure.

Designing The Greenhouse.
You will need workspace and surfaces in the greenhouse so plan for this. Will you need a sink and large counter-tops? Will your utensils go in a cabinet or on a stand? Choose to include a soil reservoir to collect the soil that gets wasted when you pot plants.

Maintenance.
Glass can get dirty very quickly and it is important to keep as much sun entering the greenhouse as possible so your plants benefit. Use a water fed pole to reach the roof and tall windows of your greenhouse so that the high sun shines in. These poles ensure that the glass is left without streaks and you do not risk your safety by climbing on unsteady objects or damage the greenhouse with ladders.

You should be able to use your greenhouse for years to come with the correct maintenance and cleaning, bringing you plants and flowers that you can enjoy.
