One of the speediest and easiest rooms to stage in a house, due to the lack of furniture, is the master bedroom. Nevertheless, we cannot choose to be laid back even here.

Among the usual nitty-gritty steps, which are cleaning, depersonalization and decluttering, we should concentrate on several requirements that potential buyer is looking for in a bedroom. A room that gives the feeling of space, snugness and neutrality, with maybe a hint of romance, is your goal.

Making a room more impartial is usually obtained by wall colors. peaceful, light colors give a sense of neutrality, consider colors such as white or beige. Bright reds, yellows or oranges are too ostentatious and should be kept away from along with any colours that bring the eyes to the walls. This also is relevant to the bed linen – you can throw in a pillow or two of a differing color, but that’s all you really want.

Where possible move the bed away from the door and that it opens freely as well as making sure the carpet looks clean and free from any depressions.

Also, you should use a king or queen size bed in most of the bedrooms, except in the tiniest ones where a double bed is more appropriate. A bed is the predominant focal spot in a bedroom, so make sure it looks as good as it can do. Employ or ask advise from a professional stager if design is not your strong point and consider purchasing new bedding to use when potential buyers arrive.

The next step would be to empty the closets and shelves if there are any and leave just a few items of clothing, mainly as decoration. Think about details – wooden hangers make a much greater impression than plastic ones, although they will cost you a few dollars more.
