However, in interior furnishing, there are five classifications of furniture, according to purpose. Pieces of furniture that provide for surfaces in a residence may include coffee tables, tables, desks, stools and sideboards.

The items of furniture that can be deemed “sets” include dining sets and bedroom sets. A set in this context applies to items of furniture manufactured as an individual unit.

These furniture items can be diligently organized in a residence to meet the needs and tastes of the owner. Interior designers are thus required to create creative designs that would express the owner’s needs, be visually attractive and practical as well.
